On Monday, February 6th Sotheby’s hosted the Art for Water benefitting Waterkeeper Alliance. Hundreds of supporters and collectors attended the event supporting art and the clean water initiative. The event included both a silent auction, and a live auction with works of art from artists including Diane Arbus, Urs Fischer, Walton Ford, Mark Grotjahn, and Dustin Yellin. Art for Water co-chairs Jeff Koons and Ed Ruscha also donated pieces for the event.

Waterkeeper Alliance is a global movement who’s goal is protect our rivers, streams and coastlines. Waterkeeper currently patrols and protects 2.5 million square miles of waterways. President Robert F Kennedy Jr. gave an inspiring speech about Waterkeeper’s mission and the importance of the artists donating their work.
