Last Wednesday I had the pleasure to attend the Metropolitan Opera‘s first summer recital series at the SummerStage in Central Park. The weather that evening was perfect for enjoying a glass (or two) of wine, and hearing some beautiful opera by some of the Met Opera’s up and coming talent.

The songs were sung by Soprano Angel Blue, Tenor Ben Bliss, and Baritone Alexey Lavrov. I have to say that they were all fabulous performers, but Alexey definitely had the most commanding and theatrical presence. At the end of the show we were even graced with an encore performance by each of the singers.
