This weekend I had the pleasure of hosting one of my good girl friend’s bridal shower at my apartment. I love hosting parties, and this was no exception. I wanted to do something special decorating wise for my friend, so to get inspiration I went to Pinterest. There I found the idea for filling a room with balloons and attaching pictures to the balloon ribbons. I then set out scouring my girlfriends Facebook profile, saving pictures of her and her fiancé as well as some embarrassing pictures of her growing up.The bridal shower was brunch themed, meaning I could keep the food pretty simple while still having some fun. The primary element of the brunch were the little bacon bowls filled with cheesy scrambled eggs. With a group full of carnivorous girls you can’t go wrong with anything bacon, egg, and cheese related. I also made a salad with goat cheese, cranberries and almonds. To round out the meal I had various carbs including croissants, chocolate croissants and corn muffins. Needless to say, the first thing to disappear were the bacon bowls. I also had some fun creating a cocktail menu for the day. The cocktails included simple mimosa, as well as rosé with mixed berry sorbet. Both drinks were a big hit.
