As the weather starts to warm up again, it means it’s time for me to start running again. I can’t stand running on the treadmill, but I love running outside when the weather is nice. So, when it’s cold I tend to focus more on my yoga and weight training.
I’m not a long distance runner, I think a 5k is the perfect distance to run. It takes about 30 minutes, gives you a nice cardio workout, and there’s less of a chance for you to hurt yourself while running a 5k. To help myself get back into running shape I usually us 5k training programs that utilize interval training. It’s a nice, easy way for me to get my cardio back on point and running 5ks more regularly. So be prepared for running updates as a begin to run more again.
